Our water systems face numerous challenges as we increasingly see the impact of the climate crisis across the world. The recent COP28 conference highlighted these challenges but what comes next when it comes to tackling these issues?

Please join us for 2 half-day virtual events where we will explore the key takeaways from COP28 and assess the opportunities for tackling issues facing our water environment. We will be joined by a range of speakers including Mark Fletcher (Arup), David Young (Broadway Initiatives), Jyoti Banerjee (North Star Transition) and Florent Kaiser (Acción Andina – 2023 Earthshot Winner). Please click here to find out more about the agenda for each day.

Day One – Water Rights and Working with Nature
We will reflect on lessons learnt around the world when it comes to Water and Climate Rights, and how other countries might overcome barriers and implement similar solutions. There will also be a discussion around biodiversity and adaptation, where we will hear about innovative projects with a ‘Work with Nature’ theme.

Day Two – Climate Resilient WASH and Complex Challenges Ahead: How can we enact change
Day two will feature a discussion around resilience and adaptability in terms of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and the session closing the conference will see experts from different sectors working through a case study in real time for the Wye and Usk Catchments in the UK. They will demonstrate how active engagement can facilitate the co-creation of transformative solutions at scale.
