Cities represent a critical arena for addressing climate change, and many cities are already leading the way. Sharing knowledge and learning are increasingly important mechanisms to accelerate city climate action.
Arup and C40 have collaborated to create a virtual exhibition showcasing ways in which eleven cities on five continents are taking climate action. The exhibition comprises a series of ‘virtual city rooms’ for anyone with an interest in climate change and climate resilient development to experience how cities are taking action. Exhibits involve and draw on the work and voices of the organisations achieving change at grassroots level in cities, from NGOs, community groups and the private sector.
This event will showcase the virtual exhibition, share examples of city climate action being profiled and pose questions about the future of knowledge sharing in an increasingly virtual world.
