Transport for London (TfL), Department for Transport (DfT) and Arup invite you to discover how the Elizabeth line can maximise its benefits to society through TfL’s Benefits Framework, and what we have learned from the results of the Crossrail Baseline Evaluation study published in September.
The Elizabeth line is the most significant addition to London's transport network in a generation, transforming life and travel in London and the Southeast. Delivered by Crossrail Ltd, it runs for more than 100km through central London, serving 41 stations and supporting new journeys out to Essex, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
What we learned from the construction of Crossrail
In 2016, DfT and TfL commissioned Arup and Volterra to deliver the Crossrail Baseline Evaluation study, collecting data to evaluate both the future post-opening and pre-opening impacts of the line. This event is an opportunity to discover what we learned from the construction of Crossrail, what the wider economic context looks like, and what pre-opening impacts affected the London property market.
We will also cover the TfL’s Benefits Framework, and how we plan to use it to maximise the return on investment, demonstrate value and learn important lessons about the line.
